Typically inmates will will be transfered to the Mens Central Jail (Twin Towers) in Downtown Los Angeles or Lynwood Jail for women. The process of bailing out of the Central Jail takes much longer (usually 12-24 hours), and thus it is better to bail quickly out of the Avalon Jail (typically 1 hour) to avoid this.
